AACTA Awards 2026: Bring Her Back, Elordi, Snook Win

Gold Coast, Australia —The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) announced the winners of its 2026 awards on Friday, with the horror film Bring Her Back emerging as the night’s biggest winner.

The film secured 10 awards, including Best Film and Best Director, making it the most awarded production at this year’s ceremony.

In the television categories, Jacob Elordi won Best Lead Actor in a Drama for his performance in The Narrow Road to the Deep North, which also received multiple honors.

Actor Sarah Snook was presented with the Trailblazer Award in recognition of her contribution to the Australian and international screen industry.

Other major winners included The Newsreader, which won Best Drama Series, and Apple Cider Vinegar, which received Best Miniseries.

The ceremony was held at the Home of the Arts on the Gold Coast and was attended by leading figures from Australia’s film and television industry.
